THE NILE FORUM® IS EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THE LAUNCH OF A PROJECT AIMED AT CO-CREATING A REGENERATIVE BIO-REGION OF COMMUNITIES CONNECTING THROUGH THEIR DIVERSE STORIES IN THE NILE BASIN

With the aim to support and enhance transformational change within the countries connected through the river Nile, Nile Forum® has officially launched the project 'Regenerating a Nile Community of Communities'. In partnership with the Novo Foundation and their Radical Hope Fund, the project will facilitate trans-local learning and collaboration empowering communities to transcend the inherited patterns of colonialism and to reunite based on their shared ecosystems and indigenous heritages.

 

As means to induce such transformation community hubs across the basin will be activated to exchange knowledge and wisdom, and to create shared practices on a common platform. These community hubs will achieve their purpose through in-person gatherings and an online component, in order to provide mutual support in enterprises such as land and water regeneration, social cohesion, reconciliation, perma-culture, eco-village design and others.

 

By enabling the sustained symbiotic relationship between these community hubs across the region, the communities built around the community hubs will pollinate the values generated within their larger community, potentially triggering a tipping point to a sustained practice of peace, deeply rooted on understanding one another and informed by the wisdom of the Nile.
